not quite sure who was moaning about the race in comment dated 21/10/08. the race is organised by a CHARITY for goodness sake. the CHARITY does an amazing job of organising it in between many many other things. what do they expect, a gold plated presentation. if you enter the race you should be doing it for a good cause not to worry about toilets, t shirts of goodie bags !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very chaotic organisation, no toilets on route for the women - bushes for he men! Very very bad organisation at the finish, spectators were not separated enough after the finish line. Absolutely awful goody bag - nivea gift bag which was a leftover from the Race for Life and you may have been lucky to get a hand towel - what exactly do you get for your twenty odd pounds? A tee-shirt would have been nice - organisers could learn a few lessons from Bristol Half, Llanelli half and even Swansea Bay 10k organisers. Won't be doing it again - £10 parking - not worth the expense. 21/10/08

Why does this route not start at the correct place? It's shown as starting in St Mary's Street instead of starting at Museum Avenue. This way cuts 0.8 miles from what we'll be running.

In 2007 the route actually started a City Hall and finished in the castle - but the bulk of the route was the same. In 2008 we are expecting a finish in Bute Park. You won't get much flatter - but if you are looking to follow this as a training route, don't bother. You can only run through the 'port' to the barrage and back, on race day.
